The 2016 Celebration of the December Commencement Candidates takes place on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in the Tozier Gymnasium. A reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
Commencement is a significant moment in the life of any student. The spirit of community present at these events is a wonderful testament honoring those who are eligible to graduate. It is an exciting time as our fall graduates begin the next chapter in their lives.
This celebration provides us with an opportunity to showcase what makes Unity College a great institution: these students’ contributions – inside and outside the classroom – have made Unity a better place. This celebration is a time of joy, most of all, but also a time of reflection. It is a time to rejoice in the achievements of our students, and those who have helped them along the way.
This year, there are 31 candidates. The ceremony will run approximately 45 minutes and will feature speakers from the college community including President Khoury and two students. A reception with heavy appetizers will immediately follow the ceremony.
Only stage party members will be required to wear regalia. All other participants, including candidates, are encouraged to wear attire appropriate for a celebration.
