Remote Sensing of Carbon Dynamics
GISC620
Description
Focusing on cutting-edge technologies, this course introduces students to remote sensing methods for monitoring carbon dynamics at regional to global scales. Students learn to interpret satellite imagery and remote sensing data to map carbon stocks, fluxes, and land cover changes. Through practical exercises and case studies, students develop proficiency in using remote sensing tools to assess ecosystem carbon balance, detect land use changes, and inform carbon management strategies.
