Description
Social change is one of the most pressing challenges of conducting business today. A sustainable business must be able to maintain a balance between staying profitable, minimizing its environmental impact, and protecting the well-being of employees, customers, local communities, and other parties affected by its practices. This course explores the business models and tools available to the social change leader responsible for the implementation of business practices that ensure the protection of human rights, fair labor practices, health, safety, wellness, diversity, equity, work-life balance, and empowerment of employees and affected parties as well as opportunities for community engagement, philanthropy, volunteerism, and more. Students will apply their understanding of social change practices to address real-world scenarios.
