Why the name change?
The name change is a reflection of the evolution Unity has undergone over the past 5 years.

When will my transcript change?
Transcripts will continue to reflect “Unity College” until our augmented logo is officially adopted.

If I’m graduating in May, what will my diploma say?
Your diploma will state “Unity College.” Once the augmented logo is officially adopted, we will give all alumni the chance to update their diplomas. The process on how to make that request will come at a later date.

Will our FAFSA school code change?
Our Title 4 school code will remain unchanged – it is 006858. It will continue to reflect “Unity College” for up to a year – so when you file for FAFSA, you may still see our old name.

When can I buy new branded apparel?
Our hope is that you will be able to purchase new apparel by fall 2023.

Are you changing your mascot?
No.

Will this impact the cost of tuition?
No. We have not raised tuition since fall 2018, and have no plans to do so.

What name should alumni put on their resume?
There is a proud history in the name “Unity College.” You can use either name on your resume’, it’s totally up to you!

Will the domain name (unity.edu) change?
No. It will remain Unity.edu.

What will happen to the Unity College name?
Unity Environmental University plans to retain the Unity College name and trademark. As part of honoring our heritage, we will be creating a taskforce to determine the best approach to ensure the Unity College name lives on.

When will our logo change?
Our new logo will be released in fall of 2023! You can find more about our changes on the implementation timeline.

Will the name change impact my military benefits?
Rest assured that the recent name change of the college will not in any way impact your military education benefits. Our team is working closely with both state and federal agencies to ensure that all military websites are promptly updated with the new name. It is important to note that the name change will not hinder your ability to use education benefits for approved programs.
