Dr. Emmanuel Appiah has a profound passion for both teaching and research. He holds a PhD in Mathematics and a Master of Arts in Mathematics with a concentration in statistics. His research in time-to-event dynamic processes uniquely merges mathematics, statistics, and computer science, reflecting his enthusiasm as a teacher and researcher. As a Project NExT Fellow, he is committed to innovative teaching practices and enhancing mathematics and statistics education. He takes pride in mentoring students, guiding them to achieve their full potential, and fostering their growth in mathematics and statistics. Dr. Appiah teaches various courses, from traditional math and statistics courses, including Precalculus, Differential Equations, Statistics, and Probability, to more contemporary data science courses. His teaching approach integrates his research interests with practical applications to inspire and engage students. His commitment to mentoring students and helping them reach their full potential is a cornerstone of his educational philosophy. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Appiah enjoys watching and playing soccer, a hobby that allows him to unwind and stay active.
