Dr. Felicia Page

Baccalaureate Adjunct Faculty

Felicia Page

Credentials

Ph.D. in Biological and Environmental Science

Dr. Felicia Page received a Ph.D. in Biological and Environmental Science specializing in Ecology and Ecosystem Science and sea turtle conservation, as well as post-baccalaureate certificates in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing (GIS/RS) and Science Writing and Rhetoric from the University of Rhode Island. She earned a B.S. in Environmental Science, specializing in Marine Science, from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Her doctoral research focused on sea turtle conservation in Cape Cod Bay, Massachusetts, where she engineered new sea turtle-shaped drifters—instruments used to track the trajectories of objects in the ocean—to better understand stranding locations. As a National Science Foundation Fellow, Dr. Page used her research to foster opportunities to incite curiosity and enhance community engagement by recruiting at-risk youth to help build, decorate, and deploy drifters at sea. Dr. Page also has several years of experience tutoring students as a writing consultant, and as an aquatic toxicology research assistant—where she focused on developing new methods to measure endocrine disruptors in the environment. Prior to moving to New England, Dr. Page served eight years in the U.S. Army.
