Dr. Jennifer Whitmore is an Associate Professor with the Animal Science Department as part of Unity Environmental University’s distance learning program. Dr. Jen received her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, spending her clinical year at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts. Since graduating, Dr. Jen has worked as an Associate Veterinarian at privately owned practices in Maine and Massachusetts focusing on small animal medicine. When not at work, she can usually be found participating in some level of equine-related activity whether it be on a professional level, assisting local full-time large animal practitioners and equine dentists, or on a more personal level with her own horses. Before obtaining her DVM, Dr. Jen was also a licensed horseback riding instructor and certified clinician. Dr. Jen has always had a penchant for educating, participating in peer tutoring programs starting back in high school, continuing through undergraduate school, and persisting all the way through graduate school. She looks forward to utilizing her hands-on experiences from real-life practice to help bring relevance to the courses she teaches.
