Dr. Lynne Baker

Dr. Lynne Baker is a senior research associate with the Rome-based Institute of Development, Ecology, Conservation, and Cooperation. She has a PhD in Conservation Biology from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Baker’s research focuses on the human dimensions of conservation, human-wildlife interactions, and biocultural diversity. She has long worked in Nigeria on the ecology and conservation of threatened species (in particular, a regionally endemic primate and the common hippopotamus), community-engaged conservation, and sustainable development.
