PhD in Plant Breeding Genetics and Genomics

Dr. Matthew Johnson is an agriculture research scientist. He received his doctorate from The University of Georgia in Plant Breeding Genetics and Genomics. He has been involved in the agriculture industry since 2011 and has worked with a variety of crops. Since 2019 Dr. Johnson’s work has been mainly focused in the cannabis industry on the development of improved plants and products for various companies in the sector. Besides working in production and research Dr. Johnson has been teaching online courses since 2021. He teaches courses in data analytics, plant genetics, and various cannabis courses. When he is not teaching courses or working on his research, he loves to spend his time exploring new and delicious food around whatever area he is.
