PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, MA degree in Anthropology, and a BS in Exercise Science

Dr. Robyn Fayko has been an Anthropology Professor for over 20 years, for two Community Colleges in California. Teaching classes in Biological Anthropology, Cultural Anthropology and Magic, Witchcraft, Ritual, Myth and Religion, she supports students as they learn about the discipline of Anthropology. Dr. Fayko has also Worked for Kaplan University, teaching online classes on Health and Wellness. Prior to teaching, Dr. Robyn Fayko worked for various Health Care Organization to support overall health and wellness. While working at Kaiser Permanente she was involved in a Brief Negotiation pilot program that integrated Motivational Interviewing strategies to support patients. She went onto became a Project Manager and supported the development and implementation of a Train-the-Trainer program to support providers across Northern California on how to use the Brief Negotiation and Education for Health Action curriculums. While working Under a CA Endowment Grant, she was a Program Coordinator for a Welcome Baby Home Visiting Program. This was a child abuse prevention program, that focused on building a county-wide multi-agency collaboration to support families. Dr. Fayko interest is in Chagas Disease, a zoonotic, vector disease and how environment dynamics influences its prevalence. Using Action Research, she studied the awareness and knowledge of Chagas disease at a Community College, Health Services department. Dr. Robyn Fayko earned her Doctor of Public Health, Epidemiology from Capella University, a MA degree in Anthropology from California State University, Fullerton, and a BS in Exercise Science from Penn State University.
