Vanmathy Kasimanickam

DVM, M.S. in reproductive physiology
Dr. Kasimanickam is a veterinarian, a teacher, and a researcher. Interestingly, she studied veterinary medicine in four countries across two continents to earn a DVM degree. She has a master’s degree in reproductive physiology from the University of Guelph, Canada. She has more than two decades of experience in veterinary medical practice. She still holds active veterinary medical practice licenses from the U.S., Canada, and India. She teaches veterinary medical students. She is a researcher in the veterinary medical and biomedical fields. She was a post-doctoral fellow in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech on a new drugs development project funded by AstraZeneca for three years. She worked as a non-tenure track faculty in the Veterinary Clinical Sciences Department at Washington State University for many years and she is still affiliated to CRB, WSU. Her research primarily focuses on animal reproduction. She has published more than 55 peer-reviewed articles. She has been a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine since 2015. Since 2015, her focus has shifted towards One Health and the connections among the health of humans, animals, and the environment.
