MA in Secondary Teaching and Biology, BA in Psychology

Elizabeth Parker is a Distance Education Adjunct faculty member at Unity Environmental University.  She received her MA in Secondary Teaching from Pittsburg State University, her MA in Biology from Miami University in conjunction with San Diego Zoo Global, and her BA in Psychology from the University of Kansas.  Elizabeth’s background is in marine mammal training and care, working as a trainer with bottlenose dolphins and California sea lions for the US Navy Marine Mammal Program and as a stranding specialist for Southern California marine mammal rescue organizations.  In addition to her work with Unity College, Elizabeth now teaches high school and community college courses in cellular and molecular biology.  Elizabeth is committed to teaching using inquiry-based instruction and providing engaging, real-world applications for scientific concepts.
