Melissa Willhouse presently lives in Gaithersburg, MD, and works in Washington, DC, though she originally hails from New Jersey. In her current role, Melissa works as a Website Communications Manager for a clean energy organization and co-runs a nonprofit dedicated to mental health and environmental education and advocacy. Prior to Unity, Melissa worked with Johns Hopkins University as a Teaching Assistant for a graduate field course Sustainability Leadership.

Melissa loves photography, storytelling, and education, and hopes to learn as much from her students as they will from her! Melissa earned her M.Sc  in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University, and her BA in Communication Studies from Rider University.
