Ms. Rita Thrasher is an adjunct instructor of biology and ecology at Unity Environmental University. She received an M.S. in Animal Physiology, Marine Ecology, and a B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of West Florida. Rita grew up in Florida and has spent most of her life involved in marine life. She has experience working with multiple state agencies and over two decades of teaching in higher education. Rita has taught a variety of courses ranging from Wetlands Ecology to Zoology at the University and Community College level. Rita is passionate about biology, which can be seen through her energetic teaching and multiple teaching awards. She hopes to inspire future biologists to improve the world around them for all inhabitants!
