MA in History

Thomas Griffin is an Adjunct Instructor at Unity Environmental University. He received his MA in History from Sam Houston State University, a graduate certificate in Online Teaching Pedagogy from Drake University, and a graduate certificate in Instructional Strategies from Augustana University. Much of Thomas’s graduate work in history has focused on Constitutional history and civil rights. Additionally, much of his professional work and study has been dedicated to online and blended learning strategies for secondary and post-secondary students and instructors. Thomas has been working in education since 2008 as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and adjunct instructor. He was named the 2013 James Madison Fellow for the state of Iowa and is currently a member of the Bill of Rights Institute’s National Teacher Council. Thomas Griffin is passionate about education and supporting the success of all of his students and colleagues.
