At Unity, you’ll be able to…

  • Learn from a curriculum based on a framework of sustainability science.

We’re the first college in the nation to do this. Our environmentally focused majors are built on the unique framework of sustainability science. As a student, you will have a distinctive education that meets the demands of an earth and environment in crisis.

We’re breaking away from the traditional classroom experience for first- and second-year students with TERRAIN, our signature expeditionary education model.

  • Experience endless research and adventure at our unique location.

Unity sits in the middle of three climate zones, providing special opportunities for experiential learning and original research.

Our unique location is also a great jumping-off point for outdoor activities—hiking, camping, skiing, hunting, and canoeing are all within a few hours of campus.

  • Receive individualized attention in small classes.

Our 15:1 student-faculty ratio means high-touch, hands-on learning. You won’t get lost in the crowd.

You’ll benefit from passionate, dedicated faculty who encourage a high degree of student involvement—leading to an individualized, supportive, and hands-on learning experience.

  • Join the Unity Beekeepers, and other unique clubs.

Nearly 71% of Unity students live on campus as part of our unified and inclusive community. We have over 30 active and unique clubs, such as beekeeping, primitive skills, sugar makers, and wildlife care and education.

We also offer varsity and intramural sports.

  • Be part of a college who practices what they teach in terms of sustainability.

In 2012, Unity was the first college in the nation to divest from fossil fuels. We are committed to the sustainability of our environment and understand the pressing need to address global climate change.

Our student housing includes three new residence halls that meet LEED silver standards and our dining hall uses locally sourced food whenever possible.

  • Earn your degree for less than the national average.

Our tuition rates are nearly 18% below the national average. The total cost of tuition, fees, and room and board for on-campus education at Unity is $41,030 for the 2019-2020 year.

However, we offer financial assistance to more than 90% of our students, including scholarships of up to $14,000 per year.

Our average student loan debt is on par with state school averages and our student loan default rate is one of the lowest in the country at 5.9%that’s 39% lower than state schools and 42% lower than the national average.

  • Receive one-on-one career counseling from day one.

At Unity, we focus on your personal fulfillment and professional success, both during your time at Unity and beyond.

Our dedicated career services staff works hard to help students and alumni realize their career goals through planning, internships, and more.

  • Expect a return on your investment.

College is an investment that you want to see pay off—and for most Unity students, it has. Over 75% of Unity seniors participate in some form of practicum, internship, field experience, co-op, or clinical assignment.

And every year, Unity is host to the largest Environmental Career Fair in New England.
