ADA Accommodations

Become full participants in

programs, services, and activities

Unity Environmental University is committed to equal access and opportunities for students with disabilities in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, the ADA Amendments Act of 2008, and all other applicable laws. Students must self-identify and provide diagnostic documentation of disclosed disability from a healthcare professional for their file to be reviewed for accommodations.

As such, Unity Environmental University provides accommodations to students who have a diagnosed disability that impacts their learning. Hybrid Learning students who believe they may need a disability accommodation should initiate a review by emailing AccessibilityHL@unity.edu.

In addition, students will need to provide diagnostic documentation from their healthcare provider by submitting a Health Care Practitioner Form. Students may also submit recent academic documentation, such as an IEP or 504 Plan, to provide the Coordinator with context for past modifications and accommodations. These materials will be assessed, eligibility will be determined, and the Coordinator will contact the student directly to discuss appropriate accommodations and strategies. All inquiries and information are kept strictly confidential.
