Colleagues,
As promised, I¹m writing to announce three more Chief Officers to take the role in January. In my Functional Leadership in Abundance approach I have made a point about the need both to add capacity and skills where institutional need requires, but also to build pathways to leadership development from within. As we encourage internal leadership development it is important to empower those who accept responsibility along the way. Today I¹m announcing three new Chief Officers, each of whom has stepped up to serve during her or his Unity College career. I am pleased to announce that Dan Laforge, Julie Cunningham, and Bert Audette will assume the following Chief Officer role in January.
Julie Cunningham, Chief Fundraising Officer (CFRO) Functional Responsibility: First among equals for laser focus on fundraising, alumni relations, major donors and donor relationship management, annual fund, and other giving programs.
Bert Audette, Chief Information Officer (CIO) Functional Responsibility: First among equals for technology infrastructure, data management, institutional research and reporting, institutional effectiveness, and instructional technology.
Dan LaForge, Chief Facilities Management Officer (CFMO) Functional Responsibility: First among equals for physical plant planning and maintenance, campus beautification and landscaping, real estate management, custodial, energy and utilities, physical asset maintenance, and construction and renovation.
Julie, Bert, and Dan have done great work for Unity College in their years of service. I expect nothing less than continued commitment and excellent service from them in the future. Attached are their updated Job descriptions for reference.
As a refresher, let me remind you of the Chief Officer buildout plan and status of the personnel identification process for each.

Thank you all for your continuing commitment to Unity College and the success of our students. Thanks to Dan, Julie, and Bert for stepping up yet again. As part of opening of school in January, we will launch a new org chart and review for added communication.
