In her new position, Dr. Ryan will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Maine Farm Bureau, including representing Farm Bureau before the public, many agricultural organizations, and the Maine Legislature. While completing her Bachelor of Science degree in landscape horticulture at Unity, she worked a summer and a semester at the University of Maine Insect and Plant Disease Diagnostic Lab in Orono. She also has experience as a plant health care assistant at a commercial landscape company in Walpole, Mass.
She said she came to Maine to attend Unity because “I was drawn to Maine, I love trees.”

“Maine Farm Bureau is the best possible place to work to effectively advocate for farmers,” she said.
