More than 70 employers have signed up to recruit the next generation of environmental leaders at the Unity College Environmental Jobs Fair in February.
New England’s largest environmental career fair is open to Unity College students and the general job-seeking public.
Any organization interested in recruiting students with skills in sustainability science, outdoor education, adventure therapy, conservation law enforcement, captive wildlife care, and more, can sign up for space to exhibit and recruit at the event.
The green jobs event will take place 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Tozier Gymnasium inside the Student Activities Center at Unity College.
“Understanding employer needs and ensuring Unity students are prepared for the marketplace is an underlying value proposition for Unity,” Chief Marketing Officer Diane Ray said.
Director of Career Services Nicole Collins ’00 said the school is expecting a record number of employers at this year’s event.
“Our annual environmental career fair connects students and job seekers with meaningful career opportunities in sustainability, natural resource management and outdoor industries,” Collins said. “It is a wonderful way to network, explore environmental fields, and secure jobs or internships.”
Employers will offer a variety of presentations and career-related materials, including equipment, applications, videos, and personal testimonials from Unity College alumni.
The career fair helps current students connect with internship opportunities essential for young professionals seeking to enter the workforce. Given the growing popularity of the “green” job marketplace, Collins said she anticipates many career changers to attend.

Of the exhibitors at last year’s event, Caitlyn Connolly ’18, told the Morning Sentinel: “There’s more variety than I thought.”
