Unity College recruitment publications were recognized with a Gold Award in the 30th Annual Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by Higher Education Marketing Report.

The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country, with more than 2,000 entries received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from 50 U.S. states and several foreign countries.

Fourteen institutions were recognized as “Best of Show.” Gold awards were granted to 269 institutions, and silver awards were awarded to 206. Judges consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals, and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report.

The award comes on the heels of “Unity is Different,” a video series produced by Unity College, receiving a Gold Award from The Council for Advancement and Support of Education District 1 in January. The series illustrates the college’s mission to educate the next generation of environmental professionals using five videos: “Create,” “Discover,” “Educate,” “Experience,” and “Unity is Different.”

“As we continue to reduce our paper materials in lieu of a more sustainable approach to marketing, we have been able to focus on the quality instead of the quantity of our publications,” said Unity College President Dr. Stephen Mulkey. “The fact they win awards is a nice byproduct as we continue to tell our story as America’s Environmental College.”

“Such early wins are excellent confidence boosters as Unity College begins its journey to define the role and scope of marketing in our future as a small private college transitioning towards a national presence,” said Executive Vice President Dr. Melik Peter Khoury.
