Make a Difference for a More Sustainable World

Do better—and earn better. The Regenerative Business and Innovation (RBI) major prepares students to lead in the growing green economy by integrating sustainability, business strategy, and innovation. This interdisciplinary program equips students with the skills to drive positive environmental and social impact within businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies.

The curriculum combines business fundamentals with cutting-edge approaches to sustainability, ensuring graduates are prepared for roles in corporate sustainability, impact investing, green marketing, and regenerative business development.

Students will explore sustainable finance, ESG reporting, ethical supply chain management, climate risk strategy, and renewable energy markets while developing expertise in data analytics, environmental policy, and community engagement.

Analyze the impact of climate change, policy, and economic factors on sustainable business practices to develop strategic solutions.
Evaluate financial, operational, and ethical considerations in ESG (environmental, social, governance) reporting and regenerative business models to assess their effectiveness.

Degree Requirements

To earn a Baccalaureate degree in Aquaculture and Marine Sustainability, you must complete:

General Education Core: 43 credits
Program Core: 40 credits
Electives: 37 credits

University Wide Requirements

A minimum of 120 earned credit hours, 30 credits at the 300 level or above, a minimum of 30 credits earned at Unity, and an overall cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.

These can range from field work at a natural area to visits to green business sites to conversations with state and local government officials.

Yes! Every RBI major will complete an internship in a local green business or a capstone course that integrates everything studies in the major.
