Unity, Maine – March, 2012 – Artists and photographers from across New England will be converging on the campus of Unity College to celebrate Earth Day.
Over 40 artists will be showing and selling their art and photography as part of the Unity College Earth Day celebration on Sunday, April 22.

The nature art and photography show will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Tozier Gymnasium on the campus of Unity College, 90 Quaker Hill Road, Unity. Admission is free.
In addition to the artists the show will also feature a wide variety of family activities that help the visitor make connections their natural world. Among the special features of the show are
Kids Nature Art Happening-Children of all ages can stop in and create their own natural arts and crafts with the help of Unity College students. The kids area runs from 11am to 3pm

Giant Nature Mural-Stop by the giant 4’-8’ nature mural inspired by the art work of a student of the college. Assistance by folks of all ages are needed to flesh out this painting between 11am and 4pm on the day of the show.
Environmental Awareness Fair-Local and Student Environmental Groups will be on hand from 11am to 4pm showcasing their work to protect and conserve our natural heritage.
Artist Demonstrations and Talks-Throughout the show selected artists are presenting talks about their work and what inspires them to take that picture, paint that landscape or carve that decoy.

Nature Art Silent Auction-Artists from the show have donated their art for the silent auction whose proceeds go towards Nature Art and Photography Student Scholarship Fund. Visitors are invited to stop by the auction that runs from 11am-3:30 pm.

Driving
FROM THE SOUTH: I-95 North to exit 127 (Waterville-Oakland). Follow Route 137 East 10 miles to China. Turn left onto 202 & 9 East and proceed 13 miles to Unity. Turn right at the Unity College sign.

FROM THE NORTH: I-95 South to exit 174. Take a left at the end of the exit ramp. Follow Route 69 East 1.5 miles. Turn right at the blinking light on to Routes 202/9. Follow Routes 202/9 South for 22 miles to Unity. In the center of town travel straight through the blinking yellow light, proceed another 1/3 of a mile. Turn left at the Unity College sign (Quaker Hill Road) and proceed up the hill, take the first right onto campus. The Allison M. Hall Welcome Center is the first building on the left.
