I am now on a more sustainable and environmentally conscious path because of Unity.

Why did you choose Unity?

I wanted to continue working full time and gain experience in both education and the workforce. Unity had a great program that really worked with my full time schedule.

Tell us about your journey in higher ed.

I went to community college for two years but realized my passion was caring for animals and promoting wildlife conservation. Unity helped me obtain a BS while working at the Smithsonian Zoo.

What made your experience at Unity special?

I was able to learn from some really knowledgeable professors. This experience helped me really know what I want to dedicate my life to. I am now on a more sustainable and environmentally conscious path because of Unity.

Where has your career taken you?

While attending Unity I worked at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington DC. I am now working for a Historic Preservation Organization in the philanthropy field.

How has your Unity education benefited your career?

I am more confident in my presentation and communication skills because of Unity. I am able to take what I know from my degree and use that information and let it contribute to my organization’s mission in Preservation and combatting climate change.

What advice would you give to current students?

Continue growing, learning and being the best version of you. It is never too late to follow your passion and make a positive impact while you are living on this planet. Life is too short, go for it. Never doubt yourself.
