Bring in the Holiday Season with Unity College
Greetings!
We find ourselves moving quickly into the season of cooler temperatures, and maybe even seeing a bit of snow already this year. That means the holidays will be here before we know it. While the holiday season this year may look a bit different than it has in the past, it is still an important time to connect with those closest to us. I believe that this year, more than ever, our loved ones would appreciate knowing we’re thinking of them. Even a phone call can go a long way in helping someone feel cared for.
This week, I want to share a couple of ways that you can support Unity College while taking care of some holiday shopping. As you know, Unity College is home to Sustainable Ventures, which is a subset of the College composed of businesses that are living manifestations of the Unity College mission. Unity College Campus Store, McKay Farm and Research Station, and Unity College: Sky Lodge all offer opportunities to support Unity College.
The Unity College Campus Store is the perfect place to find a gift for a Unity College student or alumni in your life, or something for yourself! Offering new items regularly, the Campus Store ships items across the country and all over the world. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for new products and specials, or reach out to them for assistance.
McKay Farm and Research Station, located in Thorndike, Maine is a multi-faceted greenhouse operation owned and operated by Unity College. At McKay, students learn invaluable business management and administrative skills necessary to operate a successful agricultural business. McKay Farm and Research Station is open seven days a week to the public, selling an assortment of plants, local honey, and handmade gifts. Unity College alumni enjoy 10% off any non-sale items!
Unity College: Sky Lodge, located in Moose River, Maine, is a unique sporting lodge that sits on more than 150 acres overlooking the Moose River Valley, just north of Jackman.
