Just a half hour from Portland, Unity College Headquarters, Unity College Distance Education, The Technical Institute for Environmental Professions, and Sustainable Ventures are located here. The facilities are within easy access to one of the fastest-growing cities for startups in the country.
Moose River, Maine
Unity College Sky Lodge, campus is committed to creating a sustainable world through environmental stewardship and destination-based education. The 150-acre Moose River campus is located along the Old Canada Road National Scenic Byway and tucked into Maine’s northwest timber country. Open to the public, the campus includes the historic Sky Lodge log cabin, built in 1929 with nine guest rooms and a 50-seat dining room, three exterior access guest rooms, five cabin homes, the Elaine and John Couri Welcome Center, onsite trails, and the Moose River Valley Center an educational facility enjoyed by the local community. The Jackman-Moose River Valley region is a year-round destination for outdoor adventure with activities including hiking, golfing, biking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, whitewater rafting, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.
Thorndike, Maine
The McKay Farm and Research Station is Unity College’s multi-faceted greenhouse and field facility located on 27-acres in Thorndike, Maine. It is a working production farm, with herbs and produce sold to local grocery stores. Certified by Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA), the five greenhouses and one-acre production fields integrate Maine’s leading farm-to-table movement with community relationships. Additionally, the farm provides contract growing services and bench rental space as an opportunity for seed-starting, overwintering, or, perhaps, maintaining a delicate plant collection.
Unity, Maine
Our 90 Quaker Hill Road campus in Unity, Maine is situated on 225 acres surrounded by woodlands and hills, a short walk from downtown Unity. A complete college campus, amenities include nine residence halls, a heritage livestock barn, a student activities building, classrooms, laboratories, dining halls, an arts center, a public library, a soccer field, cross-country trails, and more. A basecamp for Unity College Hybrid Learning students, the campus is also available for leasing opportunities such as events, conferences, and retreats. The Field of Dreams and the Unity College Center for the Arts are located minutes away in the town of Unity.
