Celebrating Student Philanthropy at Unity Environmental University
Purple For Purpose is Unity Environmental University’s graduation-aligned recognition initiative honoring students who choose to support the institution and future graduates through philanthropy.
It connects graduation with giving forward and recognizes students who participate in building Unity’s future.
Purple For Purpose recognizes graduating students who reach a cumulative $100 gift total during their time at Unity Environmental University.
Students who reach this total receive:
- A Purple Philanthropy Cord to wear at Commencement
- Recognition as part of the graduating class
- Participation in a growing student philanthropy tradition
Participation is entirely voluntary.
How it Works
Graduating students qualify for a Purple Philanthropy Cord when they reach a cumulative $100 gift total during their time at Unity.
Gifts may be:
- Made directly by the graduating student
- Made in honor of the student by family members or friends
To ensure proper recognition, the graduating student’s name must be included when a gift is made.
All eligibility is verified prior to Commencement.
Who Can Participate?
Purple For Purpose welcomes participation from:
Families and supporters
Unity employees
Gifts made in support of a graduating student may count toward Purple Philanthropy Cord eligibility when properly attributed.
Why It Matters
Commencement marks one of the most meaningful milestones in a student’s academic journey.
Purple For Purpose strengthens Unity’s culture of shared responsibility by linking graduation with generosity and opportunity for future students.
