Over the past decade, Unity has undergone significant transformation, evolving from a small, place-based college to a multi-locational, digitally enabled institution serving thousands of learners across the U.S. and beyond. Through its Enterprise Education model, Unity now offers fully accredited online, hybrid, and competency-based degree programs in environmental science, sustainable business, environmental engineering and more.

The self-study highlights Unity’s audience-first approach, its commitment to mission-centered innovation, and its success in expanding access to high-quality science-based education for nontraditional, adult, and underserved learners. It also details the university’s rigorous academic assessment practices, faculty governance structures, student outcomes, and financial sustainability.

Unity President and CEO Dr. Melik Peter Khoury has described Unity’s approach to accreditation as an opportunity to lead with transparency and purpose. The university does so through ongoing investment in institutional integrity, data-informed planning, and sustainable educational design.
