Salesforce online training resources
The demonstration and training modules listed here are available online for self-guided instruction at any time. Additional resources are available for applications that have been customized for specific Unity business unit requirements. Recorded training sessions and related materials can be accessed through Teams.
Trailhead
Trailhead is an enjoyable approach to acquire Salesforce proficiency that integrates concise lessons, gamification, and practical exercises. You can accumulate points and attain badges as you acquire new skills.
Trailhead is accessible at no cost. We suggest enrolling via a Google or LinkedIn account.
Trailmixes
Trailmixes are personalized and self-paced Salesforce training resources that enable users to acquire hands-on experience with Salesforce in a fun and captivating manner.
Finishing these trailmixes will enhance your Salesforce proficiency while preparing you for the necessary skills needed for your role or your department’s function in utilizing Stratus.
Professional development
As part of our project, the Stratus team provides professional development opportunities tailored to your role. Unity Environmental University offers relevant documentation materials and videos from these sessions, which will be accessible to all Unity team members throughout the project.
Ongoing user training
Stratus is implemented in all processes from student inquiries through planned giving and therefore involves the majority of Unity employees. This required extensive training and repeated exposure to our new practices in order to build Salesforce knowledge and skills within our employee base.
Training started a year in advance of the launch and has taken many forms ranging from in-person training from Salesforce experts, custom training with small user groups, Salesforce trailheads, as well as practice and testing with written procedures. Training continues and will be ongoing.
We are reaching a point now where documented procedures are catching up with our process changes and employees are becoming more comfortable navigating within Stratus.
