You can delegate authority. You can delegate tasks. You can delegate responsibility. But here’s what you can never delegate… Accountability!

When something goes wrong with work you’ve assigned, the answer isn’t “Well, I told them to do it.” The answer is looking in the mirror and asking:

1. Did I set them up for success?
2. Did I give them what they needed?
3. Did I check in?
4. Did I coach them through it?

Your team’s failures are your failures. Not because you did the work badly but because leadership means owning the outcome, period.
