The Knox Ridge Baptist Church will be sponsoring Maine Sportsman’s Night, an event with variety of vendors, organizations and speakers from many aspects of the sportsman’s world on Saturday, October 12. The event is for anyone interested in the outdoors, and suitable for men, women and children to attend. Doors for Maine Sportsman’s Night open at 1:00 pm.
Unity College’s Bear Study will give a presentation at the expo, and former Unity College adjunct professor and retired Maine game warden John Ford, author of “Suddenly, the Cider Didn’t Taste So Good” and “This Cider Still Tastes Funny”, will be selling his books and available for autographs. In addition, the Unity College Conservation Law team will be a part of the event’s line up.
The keynote speaker and special guest for the event will be (Justin) Martin, star of A&E’s Duck Dynasty and a Duck Commanders Duckman. There will be time set aside for Martin to address the audience as well as a special meet and greet opportunity.
A variety of organizations, quality speakers and activities for all interests will be represented, and vendors from many aspects of the sportsman’s world, as well as seminars on sea duck hunting, whitetail deer hunting, and predator calling will round out the event.
In addition, attendees will be able to talk with officers from North Woods Law, and “Bear Whisperer” Blaine Anthony. There will also be wild game tastings provided by Denny Corriveau, the WildCheff.
A huge assortment of door prizes will be offered, and one “lucky duck” will win a fully guided sea duck hunt with Clifton Ames, Maine Master Guide of Ten Mile Guide Service.
