Greetings!

 

For over 30 years, Unity College has been home to the largest environmental career fair in New England. Employers from across the state of Maine and beyond join us every year in an effort to recruit Unity College interns and employees. Perhaps you remember landing a job or internship as a result of attending the career fair, or maybe you are one of the many alums who have come back year after year offering positions to students and recent graduates. In whichever way you’ve engaged with the career fair, I am sure you know what an important event this is for Unity College students.

 

This year, we are excited to invite you to our first Virtual Green Jobs Fair to be held on March 17th from 10 am – 2 pm. While we are unable to gather in-person for this annual event, holding virtual career fairs at multiple points throughout the year will allow more employers and students to participate than ever before!

 

As an alum, your participation in this event is greatly appreciated. You know better than most the importance of professional networking and finding opportunities to work in your field prior to graduation is essential. You also can speak to students about your career path and help to answer questions they have about the professional direction they’re considering. The opportunity to talk with alumni about their careers is certainly a high point for students!

 

Our virtual career fair will be held on Handshake, a job and internship search platform specifically designed for college students and recent graduates. Handshake is also the place to post job openings within your organization anytime for Unity College students to find, as all students and alumni have access to Handshake. I realize that a virtual career fair may be new to many of you who would like to participate, and our Career Services team is ready to walk you through the process of registering and setting up your virtual booth!
