You did the work. You showed up, applied what you learned, and earned something real. Now the question is: can the right people find you?
Unity Environmental University has launched the Spotlight Directory, a searchable public directory where you can publish your digital credentials and badges on a profile employers can find.
What Is the Spotlight Directory?
The Spotlight Directory is a curated space where you can create a public profile that showcases your digital credentials. It connects proven talent with the employers and clients who are actively looking for it.
Badges like skills badges earned in courses and dean’s list badges are a great place to start. Each one is a visible, verifiable record of what you’ve accomplished.
Examples of Credentials You Can Showcase
- Skills badges: Earned in individual courses, these show the specific skills you’ve demonstrated.
- Dean’s list badges: These recognize academic achievement.
Every credential in your account appears on your profile, so your full record is in one place.
Benefits of a Verified Public Credential Profile
Verified credibility. Your credentials aren’t self-reported. Each one is verified by the organization that issued it, which matters to employers and clients who want confidence in who they’re hiring or partnering with.
Increased visibility. Hiring managers and industry professionals can search the directory by credential or skill, and they can also look for candidates by availability. No account is needed to search, and a complete profile helps you show up in those results.
Control over your story. Add a photo and a short bio, and share your location and availability. You decide what employers see, and you can update it anytime.
A stronger professional network. Your public profile links you to a growing network of environmental science professionals, giving you a visible place in a field employers know and trust.
How to Set Up Your Spotlight Directory Profile
Setting up your profile takes only a few minutes:
- Sign in to your Accredible account with your credentials. Need help? Read the guide to logging in to Accredible.
- Add a professional photo and a short bio.
- Under Directory Profiles, set Edit Visibility to “Visible” to go live.
That’s it. For a walkthrough, see the step-by-step directory profile setup guide.
Profiles are public and can be indexed by search engines, so share only what you’re comfortable with employers seeing.
What Employers See When They Search the Directory
Employers can browse the directory without creating an account. They can view your name, photo, bio, location, availability, and badge details. If you add social media links or work experience, those appear on your profile too.
Employers can’t message you through the directory. If your LinkedIn account is linked to your directory profile, they can connect with you there.
How to Share Your Digital Credential on LinkedIn
The directory works best as part of a broader plan for putting your credentials to work. LinkedIn is the natural next stop. LinkedIn reports more than 1 billion members worldwide, which makes it the largest professional network.
Post your digital credential to your newsfeed to celebrate the achievement and connect your expertise to the organization that awarded it.
Add it to your LinkedIn profile
Recruiters actively look for candidates with specific credentials. Adding yours to your profile makes you more discoverable and more compelling. Linking LinkedIn to your directory profile also gives employers a direct way to connect with you.
Bookmark your digital wallet
Unity provides a digital wallet that keeps all your credentials in one place. Bookmark it so you always have easy access to your verified achievements, whether you’re applying for a new role or building a client proposal.
Share Your Achievements, You Deserve to be Proud
A credential is more than a line on a resume. It’s evidence of commitment, expertise, and the kind of rigorous, applied learning Unity is known for. The Spotlight Directory is designed to make that evidence visible to the people who matter most to your career.
