The Yellow Ribbon Program is part of the Post-9/11 GI Bill® (Chapter 33). Unity offers three Yellow Ribbon Scholarships of up to $2000 to eligible undergraduate and graduate students. The Yellow Ribbon program is used in conjunction with Chapter 33 Post 9/11 benefits and allows for additional funding for students who are 100% eligible for Chapter 33 Post 9/11 benefits and have met the tuition and fees cap for the academic year. Payment is not to exceed the total cost of tuition and fees. In order to be eligible for Yellow Ribbon, a current Certificate of Eligibility must be submitted to the School Certifying Official. • Tuition Assistance

The U.S. Armed Services offer Tuition Assistance (TA) to Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserve personnel who fulfill certain requirements. TA is a distinct source of financial aid for eligible service members and mandated to be the first payer of their college tuition.

Each branch of service has its own TA application form and procedures. Service members are required to first consult with and education counselor in their service branch on the specifics of using TA either by visiting their installation’s education office or an online virtual education center.
