Marcus Edward Ellison

Marcus Edward Ellison has served as an attorney in the state of Indiana in the United States since 2001. Currently, he has his own legal practice with a focus on civil and business litigation. He has prior experience as a deputy prosecutor focusing on criminal cases involving traffic, driving under the influence of drugs and or alcohol, and vehicular matters. Ellison was also the office community prosecutor, serving as a liaison with several neighborhood and area crime prevention groups. He also has experience as an in-house attorney with a large national insurance company and as an attorney at a major national law firm practicing in the area of civil litigation.

Ellison currently resides in his hometown of South Bend, Indiana where he was born and raised. He attended Georgetown University in Washington D.C. earning a BA with a double major in Government and Classics (the history of Greece and Rome). While at Georgetown, he was a member of the varsity football team as well as an elected class representative to the student government. He also participated in band, choir, and other clubs and activities. After Georgetown, he returned home and enrolled at the University of Notre Dame Law School located in South Bend, Indiana. After graduating from law school and successfully passing the Indiana State Bar, he began working as a prosecutor. He also went back to school part-time while working online through the University of Phoenix earning his MBA with a concentration in e-commerce.

In addition to earning a degree online, he has taught at a number of two- and four-year institutions of higher learning in both online and offline formats. His primary goal is to ensure that each student successfully completes this course.
