Unity College Announces Hiring of Director of Career Placement and Corporate Partnerships

Wendi Richards Leads Critical Position Ensuring Student Success

Unity College has announced the hiring of Wendi Richards as the College’s new Director of Career Placement and Corporate Partnerships.

This position will develop a strong network of employers to offer greater opportunities for every Unity College student. This includes helping students find career-enhancing internships or jobs near the location of their choosing. Unity College has a long history of success in helping students move into their chosen career field. This position doubles down on the College’s commitment to its students and their future success.

“I love my work and feel passionate about teaching people the tactics and strategies behind finding and securing the job they want. I want them to know why, not just how. I work with people at all levels of their professional development from exploring to negotiating 6-figure salaries,” said Director of Career Placement and Corporate Partnerships Wendi Richards.

“This is a critical position for us, because as students progress through our institution, we want to be able to help prepare them for the next phase of their life. More importantly, we want to be able to work with corporations and foundations to help bridge the gap between our students and employers,” said Unity College President Dr. Melik Peter Khoury.

Richards comes to Unity College from Thomas College, where she has spent 4 years honing her skills as the Assistant Director of Professional and Career Development.

She graduated with honors from both Washington State University with a Psychology degree and the University of Guam with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Richards spent 6 years as a guidance counselor in Guam, supporting students as they transitioned to careers and higher education.

“What sets me apart is how much I truly care about the people with whom I work. This is not just a job – it is a calling,” said Richards.

Richards’ first day at Unity College is April 29. She will be stationed in New Gloucester working as a member of the Unity College Enterprise.
