Dear Unity College Colleagues,
As January 1, 2021 approaches, I am sure some of us think it can’t get here fast enough – I understand and respect that view. 2020 is almost over but some of the changes it brought will live on, because honestly – they have not all been that bad even if they were unexpected and stressful at the time.
The holidays have always been about celebrating the good things in our lives – family, friends, our ability to give to others and doing the right thing because kindness matters. This year those things don’t have to stop, although how they happen might change a little. The holidays spark hope that things are going to be better in the year to come, it is a chance to be present and look to the future with optimism.
Fred Rogers once said: I like to compare the holiday season with the way a child listens to a favorite story. The pleasure is in the familiar way the story begins, the anticipation of familiar turns it takes, the familiar moments of suspense, and the familiar climax and ending. This year, we will all have moments that are familiar coupled with some new traditions we are bound to start. Regardless of how and who you celebrate with, I hope this holiday season brings you peace, joy and optimism for 2021.
Thank you for your hard work in supporting Unity College through the transitions and uncertainty 2020 has brought. I appreciate all you have done to move the institution forward. I have faith that this team will make 2021 our best year yet, I also have faith that this time next year we will all look back and say – wow, how far we have come since 2020!
Have a safe and happy holiday season and as always – follow all state and federal guidelines to keep your family, friends and co-workers safe this year. In the spirit of the holiday season, please enjoy a few of our favorite things holiday e-card adeptly designed by our dedicated Marketing Team.
