David Cohn

Master of Natural Resources, BS in Sociology

David Andrew Cohn is an adjunct professor of agroforestry at Unity Environmental University. David obtained a Master of Natural Resources degree in 2022 from Oregon State University after completing his thesis on climate change effects on Acer saccharum and subsequent impacts on New York state. He also has a graduate certificate from Oregon State University in Sustainable Natural Resource Management and a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Purchase in Sociology. In addition to academia, David has worked for the USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service and has served as an advisor on the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s climate impacts assessment, released in 2024. Lastly, David is an Eagle Scout with Silver Palms, having completed his service project in 2004.

Mr. Cohn’s approach to online education is to foster active participation and discussion of topics to examine a holistic view of subjects. He is excited to continue educating new generations of budding agroforesters towards success.
