Thanks to my education at Unity, I have a better understanding of the nutritional needs of each animal and how to present the food in a way that is most similar to the way it would be presented in the wild in order to maintain their natural instincts. I also better understand how/why each animal responds to different types of food enrichment, as well as how the behavior of each animal changes in response to different food stimuli. Not only has my education from Unity helped me in my current role, but it will also help me advance my career in the future so that I can make as much of a positive impact on the lives of the animals in the zoo as possible.
