Yes. Unity is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), a voluntary, peer-reviewed, nonprofit organization that ensures institutions meet rigorous standards of quality and effectiveness. NECHE also accredits prestigious universities such as Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
We offer 8 terms throughout the year. Each term is 5 weeks long and courses are fully asynchronous (no set class times), with key deadlines on Wednesdays and Sundays each week.
With a consistent weekly structure and no scheduled lectures, our courses are designed to fit around full-time work, family commitments, and even active duty service. Unity offers the flexibility to make education work for you.
In a Bachelor’s program, you can take 1 or 2 courses per term, depending on your schedule and goals. For each 3-credit course, expect to spend around 27 hours per week on coursework, readings, and assignments with the help of free 24/7 online tutoring.
To be considered a full-time student for financial aid, you must take at least 3 credits per term (one course). However, to stay on track to graduate in four years, you’ll need to complete about 30 credits per year, which may mean taking more than one course in certain terms.
A bachelor’s degree at Unity requires 120 total credits. You can transfer in up to 90 credits from previous college coursework, making it easier to build on what you’ve already accomplished. To graduate, you must complete at least 30 credits at the 300-level or higher, ensuring you gain advanced, career-focused knowledge in your field.
Tuition is $470 per credit or $423 per credit for military students. A bachelor’s degree requires 120 credits, and you can transfer in up to 90 credits to save time and money. Unlike most colleges, there are no extra fees, just a one-time $100 graduation fee at the end. Financial aid and scholarships are also available.
