Ph.D. in Environmental and Plant Biology
Dr. Marion Andrews Holmes is an adjunct instructor at Unity College. She earned a Ph.D. in Environmental and Plant Biology from Ohio University in 2017 and a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from Temple University in 2009. Her research interests focus on understanding how modern plant communities are influenced by past human activity, especially herbaceous forest plants. Dr. Holmes has also taught at Chatham University and mentored students as part of her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. Her teaching interests include increasing students’ appreciation of the relationships between plants, people, and history.
