M.H.S., Spanish Language and Literature

Instructor Queenetta Harris-Marquez has taught Spanish for over 11 years and Spanish online for over 7 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a concentration in Spanish from Purdue University and a Masters of Hispanic Studies in Spanish Language and Literature from Auburn University. Queenetta specializes in second language acquisition through proficiency-based learning. She uses ACTFL’s World-Readiness Standards for Language Learning to help create an environment of efficient communication skills. Her other academic interests are Siglo de Oro literature, Afro-Latino culture, and creative writing. Queenetta is a native of Gary Indiana but now resides in Chicago, Illinois with her husband and daughter.
