Unity College confers Professor Emeritus rank for two retired Unity College professors

 

Dr. Don Lynch, Pat Clark receive honor after more than 30 years with Unity College

Unity College is proud to announce that the rank of Professor Emeritus has been bestowed upon retired psychology professor Dr. Don Lynch and retired oral communications professor Pat Clark. Dr. Lynch played an integral part in pioneering the College’s Adventure Therapy program, and taught at Unity College for 32 years before retiring last May. Pat Clark, served as coach of the Woodsmen Team and the faculty sponsor for the Drama Club, until she retired last May after 37 years with Unity College. Pat recently returned as Interim Director of the Collaborative Learning Center.

“Dr. Lynch and Pat’s contributions to Unity College go well beyond mere years of service,” said Unity College President Dr. Melik Peter Khoury. “They have both been vital in shaping the very foundation that has made Unity College what it is today, and I know from talking with alumni that they have left a profound impression on numerous students throughout their careers. Now, I am proud to call Dr. Don Lynch and Pat Clark Professor Emeriti. It is well deserved.”

“Both Dr. Lynch and Pat had a gift of connecting not only with their students, but with everyone around them,” said Unity College Chief Learning Officer Dr. Erika Latty. “That’s what made them such exceptional teachers, but their commitment to Unity College went beyond academics. They are dedicated to Unity College’s mission, our students, and our colleagues, and that has certainly been evident over the years.”
