Ph.D. in Marine Estuarine and Environmental Sciences
Dr. Anthony Overton received his M.S. in Fisheries Management and Forest Resources from the University of Georgia and his Ph.D. in Marine Estuarine and Environmental Sciences from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. His research interests lie in four interrelated areas that center around fisheries ecology and management. These areas include the early life history of fishes, trophic foraging dynamics, fish bioenergetics and fisheries management. His research has been featured on PBS News hour, he has published extensively in the field of fisheries and fisheries management and has served as principal investigator or co-investigator on multiple state and federal grant-funded research projects.
