Dr. Erik Larson is a adjunct faculty member at Unity College, and is an Assistant Professor of Geology at Shawnee State University. He earned his PhD in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from Mississippi State University and his BS in Environmental Analysis from Unity College. Erik has nearly a decade of experience in the classroom and the field teaching a large variety of Earth Science courses.
His current research interests focus on the karst, landforms, and mid-Silurian stratigraphy of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, the karst, sedimentology, and geochronology of the Bahamas, and developing new ways to map caves and measure denudation rates.
