Dr. Mira Mishkin received her undergraduate degree in Plant Sciences at CWU, MS in Interdisciplinary Ecology at UF, and Ph.D. in Human/Environmental Geography from UNAM. Her research focuses on indigenous rights, common pool resource management, climate change mitigation, and forest management. She has experience teaching an array of courses from Spanish and Biology, to Wildlife Conservation, Research Methods, and Human Geography. Mira has been working in the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve since 2015 and helps with a sea turtle conservation project in Nicaragua.
