Robert Davis is an adjunct instructor at Unity College. He attended college at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania and obtained an MS at Ohio State University and a PhD at Auburn University. His research interests include issues related to the sustainability of aquaculture and fisheries, including anthropogenic impacts on aquatic environments, interactions between fisheries and climate change, traceability of seafood products, and resource use in seafood production. Much of Dr. Davis’ work is focused on the sustainability of shrimp aquaculture.
In teaching, Dr. Davis values going beyond information recall and establishing applications of acquired knowledge to solve real-world problems. In addition to fisheries and aquaculture, Dr. Davis has a strong quantitative background and seeks to incorporate this into teaching as well.
