It was the first institution of higher education in the nation to divest from fossil fuel investments in 2012, and its curriculum is anchored in sustainability science and experiential learning. Unity Environmental University is built on the Enterprise Model and is comprised of four Sustainable Education Business Units (SEBUs). Three SEBUs focus on academics and the fourth is a group of individual revenue generating businesses which are the real-world manifestation of our curriculum.
Our academic SEBUs include Distance Education which provides a strictly online education, and In-Person at Pineland offers students online or face to face learning with a residential experience.
