Guerman Kornilov is an experienced educator, economist, and nuclear energy consultant for IAEA and recently a Managing Director of Uranium One Holding NV, one of the world’s leading natural uranium producers that employ over 2400 people worldwide and headquartered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He was also a Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Uranium One Trading, AG, Switzerland, the company that he helped to establish. He was on the numerous Boards of Directors of various companies around the world. At Uranium One Holding, he was overlooking the commercial activities and finances of the group of companies around the globe. Before the executive position at Uranium One Holding, Dr. Kornilov was Director at Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Dr. Kornilov has 36 years of experience in the energy industry having started his career as a senior reactor operator of the Bilibino Nuclear Power Plant in North-East Russia. In the USA, Dr. Kornilov worked as Manager of Business Development at GNSS and after that as Director of Trading at Cameco, one of the world’s largest uranium suppliers. He has experience in financial consulting having worked at Freddie Mac. Dr. Kornilov has extensive teaching experience in economics and management being a visiting professor at the University of Maryland University College as well as at the other schools in the USA. Dr. Kornilov has a Nuclear Engineering degree from the Uralski Polytechnic Institute in Ekaterinburg, Russia as well as MBA, Master’s in Economics, and Ph.D. in Economics degrees from American University in Washington, DC.
