Catherine Smart-White is a Distance Education Adjunct Faculty Member at Unity Environmental University. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, a Master of Education degree in Instructional Technology from American Intercontinental University, and a Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology from Capella University Online. She has been teaching as an Online Adjunct Instructor since 2010. She is a former police officer and corrections officer. She is married to a wonderful husband of 13 and a half years.
Catherine’s favorite part of her job is the wonderful one-on-one teamwork support from her awesome faculty members assisting students’ academic and professional needs. Her philosophy focuses on individual teaching and outcome approaches. She wants to continue to be more supportive in fulfilling her learners’ academic career goals as they get through each course. She believes that students must continue to be inspired by their instructors in order for them to grow.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, the field ministry, cooking, listening to classical music, and watching classic TV sitcoms and movies.
